  • 11-08: SST200 Introduction to Psychology has been updated by Dr. K. Nelson and has a new textbook. See the CALCampus Bookstore .
  • 10-08: Dr. Elliot Benjamin has developed a new course for our Postsecondary Mathematics Department: MTH328 Linear Algebra. MTH328 is a 4-credit course.
  • 10-08: SH320 and SH321 College Biology I and II have been updated by Dr. Ladner. They now have new labs and a new textbook. See the CALCampus Bookstore .
  • 9-08: We are pleased to welcome a new instructor to our Science Department: Jared Cooper. Dr. Cooper is teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, and Microbiology.
  • 8-08: Mathematics Department Updates: Our Mathematics Department has been quite busy this year. We welcome our newest faculty member, Dr. Elliot Benjamin. Dr. Benjamin has developed a new college course, MTH325 College Calculus I for Science and Math Majors. This is a 4-credit course and is part of a three-part series of College Calculus for Science and Math Majors.
  • 8-08: Science Department Updates: Our Science Department Faculty has been busy updating some of our science courses with new textbooks. SH210 General Chemistry has been revised by Mrs. Samantha Devoid. SH220 General Biology I was revised by Mr. Carlos Davis. SH310 and SH311 College Biology I and II have been revised by Dr. Debora Ladner.
  • 6-08: We have expanded our Social Sciences Department Faculty with the addition of Captain Jerry Sarchet, a veteran of the United States Army, having been deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Afghanistan) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (Iraq). Mr. Sarchet is teaching American Government, World History, and World Geography.
  • 5-08: Our Business Department Faculty has grown. We are pleased to welcome Mr. Nicholas Bergan and Dr. Mirjana Radovic-Markovic. Mr. Bergan teaches economics in our Business Department and also statistics in our Mathematics Department. Dr. Radovic-Markovic teaches Organizational Behavior, Principles of Management, Human Resource Management, and also developed a new course, e-Commerce.
  • 5-08: Dr. Kristina Nelson has added to her credentials by earning her Master of Arts in History with a concentration in Ancient and Classical History from American Public University. Congratulations, Dr. Nelson!
  • 5-08:Our High School Division is pleased to announce the graduation of Alexa Brianne H.. Alexa is from Colorado and earned her high school diploma from CALCampus High School. Congratulations, Alexa!
  • 5-08: All of our teachers are now using the Course Management System for their courses.
  • 4-08: Science Department Expansion: During the past few months, we have expanded our Science Department Faculty. We would like to welcome three new instructors: Dr. Henry Zeidan, Dr. Maher Atteya, and Dr. Ladner. They are busy teaching our college level science courses.
  • 1-08: In January, we began the transition to our new Course Management System (CMS) from our prior library system. The English and Social Science Departments were the first to start using the new CMS.
  • 10-07: We have expanded our English Department Faculty. We welcome Mrs. Shannon Voyles, who is teaching English Composition and Literature, as well as Religions of the World, Historical and Literary Introduction to the Bible, and Study Skills.
  • 10-07: In October, we received official notification that CALCampus has earned accreditation from The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) and regional accreditation from the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
  • 10-07: We have expanded our Mathematics Faculty. Welcome to Dr. George Austin-Martin!
  • 10-07: English Department instructor, Kristina Nelson, has earned a Master of Science in Psychology from California Coast University. She now also teaches in our Social Sciences Department. Congratulations!
  • 09-07: We are now offering French I, taught by Elena Morabito. This new two-course series provides a full year of French language study on the high school level. See FL200 French IA.
  • 09-07: We have added another new course to our Mathematics Department: MTH318 Business Calculus. MTH318 is a 3-credit college course taught by Mr. Don Haussler.
  • 09-07: We have expanded our faculty this month by adding two new instructors: Ms. Carol Boehm is teaching in our English Department; and Ms. Elena Morabito is teaching in our Foreign Language Department. Welcome to both of you!
  • 08-07:Our High School Division is pleased to announce the graduation of David E.. David is from California and earned his high school diploma from CALCampus High School. Congratulations, David!
  • 08-07: Representatives from The Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA) visited the CALCampus school facilities and administrative offices in Rindge, New Hampshire, from August 7 to August 9. The accreditation review visit went well. We want to thank all students, parents, and teachers who participated in the interviewing process during that visit. We will get the official results after the CITA Board of Directors next meets.
  • 08-07: Dr. Timothy Gehle has developed and is now offering: MTH306 Finite Mathematics. This is a 3-semester credit college course.
  • 07-07:Our High School Division is pleased to announce the graduation of Thomas B.. Tom is from Kentucky and earned his high school diploma from CALCampus High School. Congratulations, Tom!
  • 07-07: Dr. Timothy Gehle has developed and is offering a new course for our Mathematics Department: MTH310 College Trigonometry.
  • 07-07: CALCampus Mathematics instructor, Timothy Gehle, recently completed his doctoral studies at Phoenix University of Theology. He earned his Doctor of Christian Education (C.Ed.D.) with a concentration in the area of distance education administration. Congratulations, Dr. Gehle!
  • 05-07: CALCampus Science instructor, Samantha Devoid, recently published two papers in the science journals, Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology and Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry. The focus of her research was on how metals are transported in the circulatory system of marine bivalves. Ms. Devoid teaches Earth Science and Physical Science in CALCampus and also works as a science curriculum writer.
  • 05-07: CALCampus continues to work on its Self-Study for CITA accreditation. As part of this process, we will be contacting students and parents who may wish to share their experiences in CALCampus with CITA accreditors, participating either by telephone or online during the accreditation visit.
  • 05-07: 2006 CALCampus High School graduate, Moe Q., has informed us that he is attending Foothill College in California where he is majoring in music.

  • 05-07: Dr. Kristina Nelson has recently returned to teaching in the CALCampus English Department. She has also publisehd two books: Narcissism in High Fidelity and Criticism From The Heart.

  • 04-07: Mathematics instructor, Don Haussler, has developed a new course for our High School Mathematics Department: MTH203 Pre-Algebra.
  • 04-07: Dr. David Johnson is author of a recent book review of Dr. John Corso's Stupid Reasons People Die for High Lakes Press, LCC. This is a Healthy Life Changes' nominee for review of the month (http://dr.davidjohnson.tripod.com/lifechanges/) and a nonfiction selection for Curled Up With A Good Book at (http://www.curledup.com/stupidie.htm). Dr. Johnson is also in development of a new course: Human Growth and Development.
  • 04-07: Mathematics instructor, Don Haussler, has begun work on his Ed.D. degree in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. He has also begun teaching general education and mathematics courses at Central Texas College, which serves US Army personnel in the area.
  • 03-07: Dr. David Johnson has been appointed as the CALCampus Social Sciences Department Head.
  • 01-07:The CALCampus Postsecondary Division is a candidate for accreditation with the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation.
  • 12-06:Our High School Division is pleased to announce the graduation of Sandamali B. Sandamali is from Sri Lanka and most recently Kentucky. She is continuing her education at Elizabethtown Community and Technical College. Congratulations, Sandamali!
  • 10-06: Physics returns: We are once again offering high school physics, SH215 General Physics, taught by Mr. Don Haussler. Mr. Haussler has also developed a college level version, SH315 College Physics. This new college course has a computer-based lab with it.
  • 09-06: We have added a new instructor to our Mathematics Department, Mr. Donald Haussler. Mr. Haussler will be teaching calculus and physics.
  • 08-06: CALCampus High School has been approved as a candidate for accreditation by the Commission on International and Trans-Regional Accreditation (CITA). The approval came after a candidacy site visit in July by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, a regional accrediting agency within the CITA alliance.
  • 08-06: Class Rings: CALCampus High School graduates may now order a class ring with the year of graduation inscribed on it. If you graduated from our high school diploma program in the past or are nearing graduation, please e-mail the Director to get details.
  • 08-06: We have just added Basic College Mathematics to our Mathematics Department offerings. This new college course is taught by Mr. Timothy Gehle.
  • 07-06: Lt. Col. John Anderson, who teaches in our Business Department, has just completed MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator Training) in Washington, DC. He is now certified to administer, train, facilitate, and consult regarding this personality indicator.
  • 07-06: Mr. Timothy Gehle has recently completed his ELL (English Language Learner) teaching endorsement in Arizona. Mr. Gehle currently teaches social sciences and mathematics in CALCampus. He is working on a doctoral degree in distance education administration through Phoenix University of Theology.
  • 07-06: Dr. Isaac Jadesimi, from our English and Humanities Department, has been teaching a new course for university students learning the Yoruba language via the University of Cincinnati, OH. Other courses that he is teaching at that university include Religions of Africa and Traditional African Religion; and he is teaching a course on Human Diversity through Crown College, MN..
  • 06-06: Dr. David Johnson, from our Social Science Department, has written a book review of "The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom, Basic Books, 2005" which has been published and is online at Review.
  • 06-06: We have added a new mathematics course, MTH307 College Geometry. This was added in response to requests from students from various colleges around the country. Taught by Mr. Timothy Gehle.
  • 06-06: We are now offering college level Fundamentals of Microbiology (SH322) and Basic Anatomy and Physiology (SH325). These are taught by Mr. Carlos Davis and have been added in response to requests from students who are pursuing healthcare professions. We hope that these will assist in the foundational preparation of these healthcare professionals.
  • 06-06: We have recently added college level General Chemistry, General Biology I, and General Biology II. All three courses include labs and are taught by Mr. Michael Moore.
  • 05-06: Social Psychology, a new course taught by Dr. David Johnson, expands our college level course offerings in the area of social science.
  • 05-06: By popular demand, we have developed and are now offering college level Basic English, EN300 College Basic English. Taught by Dr. Scott Clark.
  • 04-06:Our High School Division is pleased to announce the graduation of Mohammed Q.. Moe is from Kuwait and earned his high school diploma from CALCampus High School. He plans to continue his education in college and will be majoring in music. Congratulations, Moe!
  • 03-06: Our Mathematics Department has added a new course: MTH210 Trigonometry. This upper level high school course is taught by Mr. Donald Devoid.

  • 03-06: Dr. David Johnson, from our Social Sciences Department, and Program Director for Healthy Life Changes (dr.davidjohnson.tripod.com/lifechanges/), has a new book review, The Great Brain Debate: Nature or Nurture, published online by Curled Up With A Good Book (www.curledup.com/nonfict.htm).   • 02-06: New high school version of Accounting I: BU220. Taught by Ms. Beverly Williams.
  • 01-06: New Classroom Buildings have been added to our Online Campus. We now have three Classroom/Office buildings on campus. Teachers hold weekly office hours here. Your instructor will let you know the day, time, and building that he/she uses for the office.
  • 01-06: New high school versions of Beginning Calculus: MTH215 and MTH216. Taught by Mr. Donald Devoid.
  • 11-05: We are in the process of adding high school versions of some of our more popular college courses. This will expand the diversity of our course offerings for students wanting high school credit and also save our high school students money.
  • 10-05: Our Science Department recently added: SH207 Earth Science. This new high school course is taught by Mr. Carlos Davis.
