Business Course Title: PRINCIPLES OF MANAGEMENT

This college course covers the fundamentals of the business management
process with emphasis on relationships and decision processes. Topics
include the
business/corporation and society; employee-employer relationship;
functions
and nature of management; nature of the business enterprise; profit;
nature
of ownership; applied management; business climate; decision matrix in
action; and responsibilities of the business.
More specifically, the course focuses on the processes and strategies
which are essential in optimizing the human, material and financial

Course Title: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Number: RES300
This college survey course offers an overview of types and techniques
of research, with emphasis on applied research in an educational, community, or social-action setting.
Participants explore sources of research literature, and investigate proper methods on how to read
research reports, including critical thinking about the various
elements of the reports. Examples of qualitative and quantitative
methods are introduced. The assignments consist of advanced readings, sample exercises, library research, field observation
or self-initiated projects. Students will review design, data-collection, interpretation, and reporting
roles when using quantitative, qualitative, evaluation, action-research models, interventions, and methodologies.
This course may be taken by students in the social and natural sciences.
